Taman Negara
|
|
Finally went to Taman Negara, again. Almost 14 years ago, on the small platform they called jetty at Kuala Atok, I promised to come back.
Back then, I..
had leeches bites,
got bitten by flying insects I couldn't name,
drank boiled river water, yes, the murky one!
enjoyed the sounds of nature at night,
could watch the stars from where I sleep (thanks to my tent's zipper malfunction)
Recently when I was there, at a slightly different spot, I...
slept in a chalet (alone!)
was not bitten by leeches, (my blood must have turned sour)
hardly get any mosquito bite!
was so annoyed by the camp management that allowed their staff to scream their heads off karaokeing at night (and you wonder why you can't see wild animal in the so-called wild? *sigh*)
